What is a Towel Day Ambassador?

A Towel Day Ambassador is someone who espouses the awesomeness of towels, and is incredibly hoopy too.

A new Earth TDA is elected annually, sometimes with additional regional ambassadors also.

Ambassadorship is for life!

Responsibilities

Create/post/promote hitchhiker memes, primarily in the run up to Towel Day itself in the year they are elected

Continue to be hoopy

(and be a good ambassador to the galaxy at large after first contact happens)

    How you could be 2027 Towel Day Ambassador?


    Step one:
    Submit a 3 minute video (youtube please!). Deadline will be some time in April

    Step Two:
    When the public voting is live, vote!

    And get your friends, family, neighbours, colleagues, pets, and visiting aliens to vote too.

    Step Three:
    Winner will be announced after the voting period ends. If you've won, then be congratulated! (otherwise, congratulate the winner)

    Note: There is one global TDA, and other entrants will be assigned regional TDA status.

    Step Four:
    Promote hoopiness through all space and time as far as possible, especially up to and on Towel Day!
